Here are some common problems and signs that you may need to replace your water heater.

Does My Water Heater Need Replacing?

Your heater is causing rusty water

If you notice rusty water coming through your faucet it could be an indication that your water heater is rusting from the inside.   Since rusty water can be caused by more than a damaged water heater, it is important to determine the root cause of the problem.

The best way to check if your water heater is causing your rusty water is to drain it.  If you find that the heater is the cause of the problem, you shouldn’t delay in scheduling a new installation!

Your water heater makes loud noises

If you notice any strange noises coming from your heater, it could suggest that you have a buildup of sediment.  This can lead to al loss of efficiency in your water heater and if left for a long time can begin to cause serious damage.

You notice moisture around your heater

It you start to notice a pool of water around your water heater it could be caused by a leaking heater.  It is suggested that you check all of the fixtures and fittings leading to your water tank to determine the cause of the leak. For older models it is generally more economical to buy a replacement instead of repairing.
